This is the delightful and cheerful face that adorn the door of my friend’s home. Cute and lively with fine details on the wood carving, it shows a kind face as well. Who can stop themselves smiling when they see this happy and jovial character when they see it?

I love it as it is very warm and appealing. I am not sure if it is the face of Buddha or a monk but with the thick earlobes it is certain that this individual has a long life.

In Chinese fortune telling in the reading of the face, it is said that having large earlobes signify long life. I am not sure if that is true or not but the earlobes look HUGE on him.

I also like the wood patterns on the face which complements the wood grain on the door as well. All comes together very nicely too!
