Both of these were shot in Thailand. I love the texture and colors that is clear on these two examples.

One is a house shaped garden lamp and the other is a fictional character face ornamental post which was also in a garden as well. Look at the fine details from the carving. Beautiful and exquisite. The only thing I ever carved was a turkey… but that’s another story.

I wonder how long it takes to carve something like the head… sure looks like it took many hours of careful carving.

Imagine it started from a piece of ordinary wood into this piece of art literally. Amazing craftsmanship. It may not be the most expensive art piece in the world but it made my day more pleasurable discovering this on display as I was walking past a garden.
