The textures from a piece of canvas created a beautiful surface to paint on. This portrait is a figment of my imagination with my first attempt at painting in acrylic on canvas.

I am quite pleased with the results with the glow surrounding the subject. Her features of the eye nose and cheek has my signature 3 on it. Minimal details but with maximum story.

I always believed in having “Less is More” in everything that I create.

Acrylics are a great medium to use as it dries quickly unlike oil which can take months and when it dries it is waterproof. Another great thing about it is that you can use it straight out of the tube or think it with water.

It works like watercolor when thinned with lots of water and works like oil straight from the tube. Love this medium.
